HIGHWAY 1 IS CURRENTLY CLOSED 8 MILES NORTH AND HAS NO ESTIMATED OPENING AT THIS TIME. YOU CAN STILL ACCESS IT FROM THE SOUTH, BUT CANNOT DRIVE HIGHWAY 1 NORTH TO THE TOWN OF BIG SUR. IF DRIVING FROM THE NORTH, YOU WOULD DRIVE SOUTH ON HWY 101, WEST ON HWY 46, AND NORTH ON HWY 1. THIS ROUTE TAKES YOU THROUGH WINE COUNTRY AND ELEPHANT SEAL VIEWING, CAMBRIA, HEARST CASTLE AREA. We are happy to answer inquiries regarding accessing the property. Escape the crowds to the South Coast of Big Sur! Come stay at our peaceful retreat located near Plaskett Creek Campground, Sand Dollar Beach, and the town of Gorda. There is a lot to do and see in our area. You can walk on the local bluffs of Pacific Valley and explore Sand Dollar Beach and several other Day Use areas. There are two resorts nearby: Treebones Resort with restaurant and gift shop (open June 9) and Gorda Springs Resort with restaurant, small grocery store and gift shop, cafe, and gas station.
