The Library and Museum is actually on the second floor of Northampton's Forbes Library ( a block from downtown and across the Street from Smith College). The hours are limited; Mondays 9-5; Tuesdays 1-5; Wednesdays 4-9; and Thursday 1-5. You might want to call the Forbes Library to be certain they haven't cut back on the hours during the summer. Also, if you're a Coolidge fan there are 3 other sites in town: 1) His old office on Main Street (the only thing of interest is the sign on the door, Grife and Coolidge; the house where he lived in Northampton--on Massasoit Street--nothing to see but a sign (it's a private home) and the estate he bought after he left the presidency (off South Street)--it too is privately owned but you can see the property and house from the street. Northampton is a great place--enjoy!
