The beach is good for shells and would probably be okay for swimming. The views are pleasant.The resort is rather lack lustre otherwise.Full review by Norwichgall

Watch out for dogs muck, as the seafront is used by dozens of dog walkers, who don't pick up their sh!t. The beach smells at low tide as sewage from the river is exposed.Full review by liberatedhorn
How do I get to Canvey Island without a car. Is there a regular bus service from the main land or can a bridge or something be walked over to get there?

Get a train to benfleet train station and then you can get a bus 22 or 27 to canvey it takes 45 minutes to a hour to get there I have done this trip in the past
