Hello Matt If you want to take a ride on the Steam Gondala or the Coniston Launch you can get to Coniston by the following 599 Bowness on Windermere - Windermere Rail Station or Ambleside Kelswick Road 505 Windermere Rail Station or Ambleside Kelswick Road to Coniston crown hotel, Walk from Coniston town centre by following the signs to the lakes, the walk talks around 15 minutes to 30 minutes.

A full lake tour I believe is £20.50 per person less 10% for national trust members. Head of the lake only is £11 less the 10%. Sorry cannot help with the timing once you get off …
