Hell or High Water Tattoos, established in 2009 by the late Tony Barton, was one of the first shops to reopen after Hurricane Katrina. Known for its exceptional artistry and inclusive atmosphere, it set a high standard in tattoo excellence. In 2021, innovative tattoo artist Mecca, took over and relocated the shop to downtown New Orleans. Proudly black-owned and woman-owned, the shop is celebrated for its diversity, with a team of some of the city’s most talented artists offering a wide range of styles and perspectives, driving its creative success.
