Make sure you book a head. We missed out seeing this cave. Look under Margaret River Caves. They only do aloted times during the day and can only fit so many people in their per time allowment. Full review by Gil K

There were a couple of young children when we went. They became a bit restless. At one stage, everyone is asked to be quiet while they turn the lights off and the kids kept flashing their lights and giggling during that time. It’s only an hour tour, I guess it depends on the child. Probably not a lot of fun for them.

Hi would this cave be suitable for elderly? We r thinking of going in Aug. No mobility issues but previously had heart surgery n typically needs some breaks when climbing long flights of stairs. I heard of mammoth but seems like it also has steep steps though fewer unless we want to be confined to the wheelchair friendly area.

I found the steps at the beginning to be quite steep , esp going up them on the way out. We were not told about the 250 steps until we were in the cave itself but I coped very well , I have RA.

Hi, Apologies for the delay I only just saw your question. There are lots of steps in the Jewel cave so a stroller is not very practical. On the other hand there are many stops when you could put your toddler down - making sure he/she is safe eg taking a harness. Hope this helps.

Not suitable if unsteady on feet due to steps although there is handrails. No seating. Tour takes 55 mins I think. I would speak to staff first.
