I was thinking about maybe running around the 10k loop is that appropriate ? Also I have a phobia of dogs which I'm finding difficult for running in south east Asia as when it's cooler they have more energy and don't seem to like running parang lol so hopefully not too many scary dogs?! Have been circled by too many now not sure my nerves can take any more!

Hello! I am not 100% sure, but I don't recall seeing any tuk tuks on the island. Most people do cycle, which I appreciate you don't want to do :). The only thing I can suggest is that locals have mopeds so perhaps one could give you a tour in this way, if you negotiated a payment. However this would be hard to arrange in advance. Sorry I can't be of more help!
