There are several national associations like PADI, NAUI , SDI. They all have find an instructor functions. That will help. Also, look for Discover Scuba days. If you call Lake Phoenix, ask them about the companies that own pavilions by the Lake. These are all good scuba companies. Call one of them. Scuba Jam will be at Lake Phoenix Sept 1-3 this year. If your group is already certified, reach out to the instructor who taught them. If you are traveling out of country, many resorts have scuba.

Yes there is cell service. There is not a "close" 3 star hotel in the area - the lake has camping available - there are local small town bed and breakfasts there - My husband and I stayed at one close by the lake it was very nice. You can of course google for the Rawlings VA area - there is a Best Western about 13 miles away we stayed at once before it was nice and clean. Rob is the owner and a dive instructor - there is also a female dive instructor there (Dale Lynn) - this is a very safe lake as far as the people there - you would be well taken care of and cared for. Yes there is food there, a small place that cooks burgers, dogs, has drinks and fruit. a small menu - but it works while you are diving. I hope this helps you. I've been going to the lake for many years now and it's so wonderful to dive there - we truly enjoy it. You can always check out their facebook page as well - many people go and there are many comments on their page.
