Sadly it was wet, misty and windy on our trip, so sadly couldn’t see much or get out the train to view the scenery. The carriage misted up and had no ventilation, so it was all a bit disappointing. …Full review by Karl N

Q:
we are taking the train up snowdon. Do you then walk further on to reach the summit, or is that as far as you can go.
A:
Once the train arrives at the summit, its a short walk through the building and out of the walkers entrance, then approximately 100 steps up to the cairn.

Hi, would it be suitable at all to take the train up and trek down with a 2 year old and a 4 year old? We are all used to go on long treks in hilly/mountain terrain and the boys are very good walkers for their age and we also have carrier backpacks when needed. Is it any routes down that is not too rocky/unsafe? We will make our final decision on trekking down or taking the train down once up and after seeing some of the terrain but prefer to be prepared. Thank you for any answers
A:
We are both 57 and fairly fit. We found the walk tough but OK. There were plenty of youngsters walking down as we came down. If you are all fit and well then I would say fine.

Q:
How close is the train stop at the top to the cafe there please and is it a steep/rocky walk? My dad has limited mobility so wondering if we need to take his wheelchair or if he will manage. Also are the steps to board the train steep? Thanks for your help.
A:
They will provide a ramp if you need one on and off the train. Cafe very close to train 7 steps with rails to access the cafe no lift so not sure how a wheelchair would be suitable
