Brilliant small museum that gives you a good amount of history and is amazingly well decorated. The amount of effort put in to this place is extraordinary, highly recommended. Great value for money.Full review by eloise p

What a fascinating place, loved learning about the story of Mary Shelley and how Frankenstein came about. It felt eerily spooky in there at points, loved it!! Even an added bonus of the basement scar…Full review by Gemmie85

It depends on how the child responds to horror content, I think most 12 year olds would be fine with this museum (and I saw younger visitors during my time there). There are sound effects and an animatronic which may not be suitable for a child who is sensitive to horror elements. The basement is the scariest part of the museum, and many people will avoid it.
