Beautiful palace, very nice and clean and well-maintained area with a friendly atmosphere. Visitors are not let inside the palace though. Full review by Saeed F

Only viewed from outside the perimeter. You also cannot get a good view of all the buildings. During our visit we were kept well away by the guards because the Sultan "was in residence" . Not allowed… Full review by Ali921

It is worth stopping for a look at the palace if visiting Muscat. The building is impressive and colourful, but you cannot go inside. The surrounding district is lovely and full of museums. Full review by NICHOLAS T
