Riverbend Park has 12+ miles of trails along the Potomac River with 418 acres of forest and meadows along the Potomac River. Row boats, canoes and kayaks can be rented at the park seasonally. Kayak and canoe tours and fishing programs are also offered (Call for schedule and hours of operation). Anglers can fish for smallmouth bass, catfish and sunfish. Fishing tackle, rod rentals, bait and snacks are available at the visitor center. Virginia or Maryland state fishing licenses required for fishing (the park does not sell fishing licenses). Nature highlights include spectacular river views, seasonal and migratory birds and other wildlife. Enjoy the riverside picnic area with grills or relax on the deck overlooking the river. Grounds open from 7 a.m. and gates lock at dusk; hours posted. A boat launch is provided for kayaks, canoes and jon boats ($5 per boat or $40 for annual launch pass).

No, but you can get there via area buses to connect to McLean & from there, a taxi to the park which connects via a relatively short wooded hiking path to Great Falls Park. Would be a nice long day trip. Nearest subway stop is Wiehle-Reston & from there a cab ride.
