Its located beautifully and looks very impressive. The inside is fine, just a ruin really, we saw Cahir Castle which is much better preserved and was more fun to explore so I would recommend that one…Full review by Travel30WAW

A wonderful archaeological site with a rich history. Erected on top of a limestone cliff overlooking the picturesque village of Cashel. If you are in County Tipperary, it is worth a visit.Full review by michaeldeligan

Irelands Must Do ! This place is insane . Perched on top of a hill overlooking the town of Cashel, county of Tipperary . It’s a group of Abbeys, Churches, Graveyard and a Cathedral.Full review by ToniGlee
Hello! Wondering if I need to prebook for individual tickets? We'll be there the week before Easter. The website said prebooking was required for tour groups but I didn't see a link to buy individual tickets. Thanks!

Hi, I'm fairly sure you'll be ok to pay in when you arrive. Tour groups is for larger groups off a bus I reckon. Be sure to see Cahir castle too, It's only a 10 minute drive from the Rock.
Is the car park at the bottom or top of the hill? My mum and I go on a day trip every year and I think she would love this, but she can’t manage too much walking - let alone walking uphill. Is it easily accessible for people who struggle?

The car park is at the bottom of the hill. It will be a bit of a hike
I would like to know what a road fund license that has to be displayed in the window of my rental car is. I read that there is a possible 90 Euro fine. This would deter me from visiting the Rock of Cashel. Please let me know. Mike, USA

We rented a car in Ireland and drove all over for 2 weeks no problems. Also the car park at Rock of Cashel is very convient.
So the suggested time is 1-2 hours. Does this include going to see the inside of the Cormac's Chapel. Thanks in advance.
A:
If you take the guided tour it takes a little over an hour plus time to look around and take photos. I did the tour that included the Chapel which I highly recommend.
