Fantastic views! An awful lot of steps but amazing views, lots of seabirds and wonderful rock formations, think the guide said 541 million years old!Full review by SezSheffield

Could i get the same beautiful images from standing at the top? Or would i need to do the climb? A response would be greatful many thanks Amanda

You can get some good 'high up' photos of the South Stack lighthouse and its island looking down from the heights without descending any steps, though this will depend on your camera. The steps down are not continuous and do have 'landings' periodically that you can stop at and take photos, especially along the coastline with its rugged cliffs with he waves breaking at their base so you may consider descending a short way depending on your capabilities. A note of caution though. I went to the bottom where the bridge to the island is and consider myself reasonably fit, but it is quite a climb all the way back up the staircase again, so if you do chose to descend, stay within your capabilities for the return upward journey.
Is 2 hours long enough for a visit to the Lighthouse. We need to be in Beaumaris for 12:30pm. I’m thinking if we get there for 9:30am and leave at 11:30am we will have enough time to take a look round but I’m not sure?
Is there parking for motorhomes, ours is 7 meters long.

No. The road up to the Lighthouse is single track. There are three parking areas. The first is quite small and was full when we arrived. The second is next to the cafe and was also full of cars, except for a few disabled bay spaces. The final area is at top overlooking the lighthouse, there was a camper van parked there but it was half the size of yours and to be honest this car park was pretty full when we came back. You could also have problems with turning around. All car parks have charges.
