It's October so there was ample parking. The weather was also superb which I'm sure helps. Concessionary tickets for the over 60s. There are many steep and at times uneven steps. Reasonable fitness … Full review by Talbottraveler

Amanda, the view from the top of the hill where there is a parking lot is very good. taking picture's along the climb down is difficult due to the height of the walls ( shoulder length. Several people did stop for scenic shots but they were stopping on the landings when the stairs switch back and forth. they had to move their equipment every time someone wanted to pass by them. you can move along the top of the land in both directions to get pictures. On the actual island with the lighthouse- pictures are not great (the building windows that would give you a view are covered in salt residue and they limit where you can walk to a very small path from the bridge to the door of the building And I would not recommend the stairs if you have ANY doubts at all. We went when there were no crowds and so we climbed the stairs at our own pace. I understand in more popular seasons you might inch along and just getting down to the little island that the lighthouse is on can take more than an hour.
Q:
Is the walk down safe? Are there walls on the side of the steps so you can't fall down?
A:

Is 2 hours long enough for a visit to the Lighthouse. We need to be in Beaumaris for 12:30pm. I’m thinking if we get there for 9:30am and leave at 11:30am we will have enough time to take a look round but I’m not sure?
A:
Hi - yes that should be fine (2 hours)

No. The road up to the Lighthouse is single track. There are three parking areas. The first is quite small and was full when we arrived. The second is next to the cafe and was also full of cars, except for a few disabled bay spaces. The final area is at top overlooking the lighthouse, there was a camper van parked there but it was half the size of yours and to be honest this car park was pretty full when we came back. You could also have problems with turning around. All car parks have charges.
