The views were so beautiful! Took many photos! A great place to view the mountaintops. Apparently, the hike starts there, but we didn’t do the hike as it was raining. Full review by quokka_26

Wow!!! Views that money can’t buy. Just stunning. To get to see the Eiger and Jungfrau. Words can’t describe the scenery. Only negative is that it costs an absolute fortune to catch the train up and… Full review by NicholasT342

Enjoying the beauty of Kleine Scheidegg and wondering what else you can do to take in the scenic views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountains? Take a short jaunt down to the Wengernalp train sta… Full review by Swiss_nomad77

We will be in the Kleine Scheidegg area the nights of October 9-11, 2017. We know we want to do the Wengen to Grindelwald Grund hike as well as second hike in the area. Two questions: recommendations for another hike of about 15-20 km. And would you recommend Lauterbrunnen or another town as a play to stay? Many thanks!

We will be in Interlarken on October 6 & 7, 2017. We would like to do a high altitude trip from there. There appears to be two options: Kleine Scheidgg or the Schilthorn. My questions are: Does one have better views than the other? Is it easier to get one rather than the other from Interlaken? Is one less expensive to travel to than the other? As we are 68 & 70 are there any discounts for “seniors”. Any recommendations would be helpful.

The Schilthorn is great with fantastic views, but it's a one stop shop. Kleine Scheidegg has more to offer as there's places to eat, drink and the views to the east over Grindelwald and the Wetterhorn are stunning. A short walk (5mins) will take you to Fallbodensee with great reflected views of the aforementioned or in the other direction towards Lauterbrunnen. You also have the imposing Eiger North Face nice and close up. The other main plus that Kleine Scheidegg gives is getting on the train to go further up to Jungfraujoch which, if the cloudbase is high (or very low so you're above the clouds), is not to be missed. I recommend checking the webcam before going, it's updated every 10 minutes: panoramic.skiline.cc/jungfraujoch?cu=en-GB you can select the Lauberhorn webcam which looks down on Kleine Scheidegg too.

Hi, I am planning to travel to this place in July'17 with my 22 months old daughter. Will this place be okay for her (altitude, weather)? Will there be snow?
A:
Hi there may not be snow there in July but your daughter will be ok. You can always email the tourist information office in Interlaken if you have any concerns. Hope this helps.
Q:
Do the train staff provide good information?

Staff on site might, but we received terrible advice from the online team before arriving in Switzerland that effectively cost us an extra £75 on a 4 day ski holiday. Don't trust any advice …

Staff on site might, but we received terrible advice from the online team before arriving in Switzerland that effectively cost us an extra £75 on a 4 day ski holiday. Don't trust any advice that they provide. As they refused to refund the difference when one of their on site staff pointed out the door in the advice that they'd given.
