A Lamar CISD employee is in custody after deputies say he shot and killed his wife at their Rosenberg home on Sunday.

David Pollard, 47, was arrested Sunday and booked into the Jail on a murder charge. He is accused of killing his wife, Iona Pollard.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the Sunday shooting death of a Lamar Consolidated ISD instruction coach at a home in Richmond.

Nonprofits, churches, civic clubs and other charitable organizations can rent tools such as lawnmowers and generators and pick them up at a Fulshear-area park.

David Pollard, an employee with Lamar Consolidated ISD, is facing a murder charge following his alleged involvement in the killing of his wife, according to court documents.

"We have learned of the devastating incident involving two of our own, Iona and David Pollard," Lamar CISD said. The nature of the George Junior High School instructional coach's death was not immediately known.
