Nat Sciver-Brunt has been appointed as the new captain of the England women's cricket team, succeeding Heather Knight after the Ashes defeat. The ECB also announced Charlotte Edwards as the new head coach.

Nat Sciver-Brunt has been named England cricket ’s new captain, replacing Heather Knight. Knight had held the post for nine years, but was deposed in March as England were comprehensively beaten in the Ashes, 16-0.

Nat Sciver-Brunt has the chance to paint a 'back in business' sign on the England Women's team HQ, as opposed to occasionally flipping the hastily scribbled 'back soon' note with which she has had to work in her previous appearances as captain.
