The deadline to apply for federal assistance is three weeks away for South Carolina residents affected by Hurricane Helene. The deadline was extended to Jan. 28, but FEMA said they strongly urge affected residents to apply as soon as possible.

Florida homeowners and renters affected by Hurricane Helene must apply for FEMA assistance by 11:59 pm Jan. 7, 2025.

FEMA is reminding people affected by hurricanes Helene and Milton that they have less than two weeks to apply for individual assistance.

FOX 13's Kim Kuizon reports that Tuesday at 11:59 p.m. is the last day for residents seeking hurricane-related to apply for FEMA assistance.

Despite how some residents feel, January 7th is the deadline for people to apply for FEMA's help. People can visit a recovery center, call, or apply online.
