The body of the eighth worker missing in the Mana (Chamoli) avalanche incident was recovered by the Army on Sunday afternoon during the ongoing search operation, officials said. Earlier in the day, three more bodies were found as rescue teams continued searching for the last missing worker.

The Indian Army on Sunday successfully rescued all 54 people trapped in the Mana avalanche in Uttarakhand after an extensive search and rescue operation. Unfortunately, eight lives were lost in the disaster.

An avalanche hit near Mana in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district on Friday (28 February), leaving at least 41 Border Roads Organisation (BRO) workers feared trapped. Around 57 workers were reportedly present at the site when the avalanche struck, The New Indian Express reported.
