SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - After eight days, Megan Boswell, a young Tennessee mother, was found guilty on Thursday of murder in the death of her one-year-old child in 2019. Boswell was accused of killing her 15-month-old daughter, Evelyn Boswell, in December 2019. She was reported missing in February 2020 and found dead the following month.

The next step in the case will be to determine Megan’s sentence. Prosecutors have said they would not seek the death penalty.

A young Tennessee mom could spend the rest of her life behind bars after a jury convicted her of murdering her 15-month-old daughter and stashing her body in a playhouse on her family's property. A Sullivan County jury found Megan Boswell, 23, guilty on three first-degree murder charges in the death of her daughter Evelyn, who disappeared in 2019.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — Megan Boswell has been found guilty for the murder of her 1-year-old daughter back in 2019. Megan’s trial began on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, and on February 8, a jury found her guilty on all of the following charges:

Bondi this week directed the Federal Bureau of Prisons to transfer inmate George John Hanson, 60, so that he can be executed for his role in the kidnapping and killing of a 77-year-old woman in Tulsa in 1999.

A verdict has been reached in Megan Boswell's trial. In February 2020, an Amber Alert went out as authorities searched the Tri-Cities in the eastern part of the state for 15-month old Evelyn Boswell.
