Missouri's passing game stalled for much of its overtime win against the Vanderbilt Commodores, but the run game behind Nate Noel and Marcus Carroll helped hold off a stunning loss.

Missouri beat Vanderbilt 30-27 on Saturday night after the Commodores missed a 31-yard field goal in double overtime.

MU answered Vanderbilt’s touchdown with one of its own — the 20-yard catch-and-run by Burden — but the Tigers’ defense, on the ropes for a second straight drive, needed a big play. On third-and-3 on Missouri’s 4-yard line, Pavia kept the ball and found no place to go but backward.
