In the season 7 finale, the Frasers end up taking in Fanny (Florrie Wilkinson) after William (Charles Vandervaart) vainly attempts to save Jane (Silvia Presente) from the gallows, only to find that she's killed herself in her jail cell. Jamie and Claire agree to bring Fanny back to the Ridge with them and care for her as their own.

The finale is no exception. Some have been bittersweet and brief, like Young Ian (John Bell) returning to Scotland in time to see his father before he died. Or Roger MacKenzie (Richard Rankin) traveling through time to look for his missing son and finding his father (who has been presumed dead since WWII) instead.

Here’s what we know so far about Outlander season eight. Starz confirmed the show would be filming for another season in January 2023. In a statement, Kathryn Busby, President of Original Programming for the network said,
