The Cotton Bowl semifinal is set to be played as scheduled in North Texas on Friday, Jan. 10 despite severe inclement weather expected in the region. Weather forecasts project that the area could receive more than 4 inches of snow only days before the game.

There are no plans to change the date or time of the College Football Playoff Cotton Bowl semifinal game on Friday between Ohio State and Texas despite the threat of winter weather in the Dallas area in the coming days.

The National Weather Service placed the Dallas-Fort Worth area under a winter storm warning for Thursday and Friday.
