A hiker fell to his death inside of Zion National Park near Canyon Overlook Trail over the weekend, according to officials.

A Zion National Park visitor was recently killed after falling on the park's Canyon Overlook Trail, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

In all, visitation grew at four of Utah’s “Mighty 5” parks last year. Zion National Park reclaimed its top spot as Utah’s busiest park in 2024, drawing over 4.9 million visits last year.
