Celtic have re-signed Portuguese winger Jota on a five-and-a-half-year contract subject to international clearance, the Scottish club said on Monday, while striker Kyogo Furuhashi joined Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais.

Celtic have secured Jota on a five-and-a-half-year contract after persuading the Portuguese winger to return to Glasgow.

Celtic are interested in signing Brighton & Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson, although they are one of several European clubs monitoring his situation at the Amex, according to TBR Football.

Ligue 1 side Rennes signed Japanese international Kyogo Furuhashi from Celtic on Monday, with Portuguese forward Jota rejoining the Scottish champions.The Portugal under-21 international left the Glasgow outfit to join Saudi side Al Ittihad before moving to Rennes in August last year.

Striker Kyogo Furuhashi has completed a £10 million transfer from Celtic to French club Stade Rennes. The 30-year-old departs the Scottish Premiership champions after three and a half years, having been brought to the club by former manager Ange Postecoglou from J League side Vissel Kobe.
