The fancy vivid yellow diamond, known as the New Sun, is 100-carats and is described as having a rich honey golden colour. It was created from a 236-carat rough discovered in Yakutia in 2020.
Precious stones gifted to the museum by Ronald Winston, son of distinguished jeweler and gem collector Harry Winston.
