FLORIDA CITY, Fla. – Police have made an arrest in the case of a 9-year-old who was shot and killed last year. The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 19-year-old Montreal Savonte Jackson Jr. on Tuesday. He’s facing a second degree murder charge in the shooting death of Antavious Scott.

MIAMI - Authorities have arrested a man in connection with the November shooting death of a 9-year-old boy in Florida City, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office. Antavious Scott was found shot on Nov. 16 near 865 W. Lucy Street. He was transported by air to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, where he later died.
