MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) - Vermont House Democrats on Thursday said they can’t fix the state’s education system this year and instead outlined plans to further study reform plans over the summer.

The House is attempting to pass the budget outline the Senate approved on the weekend, but Speaker Mike Johnson can only lose a handful of votes and as we write this he is coming up short.
