Texas Rangers ace Jacob deGrom had the perfect reaction to his first victory in over two years on Tuesday evening.

DeGrom retired 12 of the last 13 batters he faced. The one batter who reached - Edman, on a sixth-inning single - was caught stealing on fantastic work by deGrom’s quick move to the plate, a great catch and throw by Jonah Heim and snap tag by Marcus Semien.

Texas had a much-needed offensive breakout while Jacob deGrom struck out seven over six scoreless innings for his first win in more than two years, though he had pitched well enough to win in several other starts this season.
