A former immigration detainee who was shot by police after allegedly charging at them with a metal pole will remain behind bars because of the risk he poses to the community.

QUITMAN — A Quitman woman was sentenced to 30 years in prison for beating an East Texas homeowner with a metal pole. Ruby Dee Isaacs pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
