Harsens Island — Authorities are investigating what sparked a blaze Wednesday on Harsens Island on Lake St. Clair that destroyed at least six homes at the historic resort and yacht club Old Club.

Clay Township Supervisor Artie Bryson, who also lives on Harsens Island, said the Old Club is well-known among area residents, notably attracting antique boaters and regular members of the club.
