Through the years, the people of Oman have made it a tradition to buy gold in the form of jewelry, coins, and bars, especially during the Eid holidays (al-Fitr and al-Adha) and Ramadan.

An Asian woman has been arrested in Oman for stealing gold jewellery from a house where she worked as a daily wage worker. The Royal Oman Police announced the arrest in a social media post.
