[Video help] Turning a small, rough strip of bark into a piece of fine cloth is a painstaking process. First, Taatoa cuts down a paper mulberry tree from a small patch next to the family's fale.
This keeps your fold line straight. Apply the glue in strokes from the fold line out towards the paper's edge - this prevents the strips from scrunching. Take your time to make the shape you want.
If you are using A4 paper you will probably need 2 - 3 sheets. If you want long fringing make the strips extra chunky. If one strip runs out, tape it down and start a new one on the same spot.
