Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team were called to Thurstaston Beach in Wirral this afternoon, Tuesday, April 1. With the tide still rising, the situation became critical as water began to surround them.

The woodland walk can be accessed along Caldy Road, with car parking available at the Wirral Way. Caldy Hill offers panoramic views over the Dee Estuary to Hilbre Island and beyond on a clear day.
