Police are investigating a fatal accident after the driver of a tractor-trailer was found dead with a gunshot wound following a crash on I-295 South.

A man died after a crash Tuesday night in Lehigh County. County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said in a news release that the man was a passenger in a vehicle that was involved in a collision with a tractor-trailer around 8 p.m. in the area of Route 100 and Schaefer Run Road in Upper Macungie Township. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
