Gerald “Wings” Hauser, a prolific character actor who appeared in more than 100 film and television productions, has died at the age of 77. Hauser’s wife announced her husband’s death in an Instagram post Wednesday, March 19. Variety reported the actor died of natural causes.

He started out on ‘The Young and the Restless’ and earned a Spirit Award nomination for Norman Mailer’s ‘Tough Guys Don't Dance.’
