CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A pedestrian died at the hospital after being hit and killed in east Charlotte on Friday night, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. It happened around 8:30 p.m.

The impacted crossovers were not repaired properly during a previous visit to mitigate a risk of fire under the hood.
