Mourners paid tribute to former President Jimmy Carter by dropping off peanuts and peanut butter outside of Atlanta's Carter Center. Carter notably came from a family of peanut farmers.

In the hours since his death, the nonprofit Carter Center, founded in 1982, and the nearby Jimmy Carter Library and Museum became a spot for Atlantans to gather and pay their respects. Since Sunday afternoon, a collection of flowers and candles steadily grew at the center in the Poncey-Highland neighborhood.

Outside the Carter Center, Braves hats and boiled peanuts are left in honor of President Carter in Atlanta. I've taken my family to 5 major steakhouse chains in the US. We enjoyed most, but one is the best by a landslide.
