New England selected Polk in the second round of the 2024 NFL draft out of Washington after trading out of the pick that the Los Angeles Chargers eventually used on Rookie of the Year candidate Ladd McConkey.

New England's second-round receiver selection had zero catches for the fourth straight game, while LA's topped 1,000 yards and formally made it a record-breaking season.
