The cat pulled the threads badly, but it looks to me as if there aren’t any holes. I love the pattern and colors of the fabric. I do not want to reupholster with a different fabric.

This is also why I specifically use upholstery thread. Start the ladder stitch. Insert the needle through the ripped seam and bury the knot inside it about a 1/2 inch from where it's starting to open.
