Bo Hovart scored his second goal of the game on a breakaway 3:10 into overtime and the New York Islanders snapped a three-game skid with a 5-4 win over the Boston Bruins on Sunday night.

The Boston Bruins are still in search of their first win of 2025 after a 5-4 overtime loss to the New York Islanders on Sunday night at TD Garden.

Bo Horvat scored his second goal of the game with 1:50 remaining in overtime as the visiting New York Islanders defeated the Boston Bruins 5-4 on Sunday.

He admitted that it was “really healthy” for him to get a fresh start with the Bruins after things appeared to be headed nowhere with the Islanders.

Pastrnak scored twice in his second straight game, and Justin Brazeau and Cole Koepke also scored for the Bruins (20-17-5), who have lost four straight (0-3-1) and five of six (1-4-1). Joonas Korpisalo made 32 saves.

The New York Islanders took a three-game losing streak into TD Garden to face the Boston Bruins. Despite the Bruins managing a strong comeback, the Islanders emerged victorious and in thrilling fashion.
