Earlier this week, Rose told ESPN that he "would love" to have his jersey retired by the Bulls. Just days later, he learned that wish is already coming true.

Michael Jordan was happy to see Derrick Rose become the youngest MVP in NBA history in 2011. Jordan and Rose are the only players in Chicago Bulls history to win the MVP Award. “MVP of the season,” Jordan told ESPN in March 2011.

The jersey retirement ceremony will be held during the next NBA season (2025-26), and details will be announced at a later date.
