Dickerson hadn’t snapped the football in a game since Sept. 29, when he handled seven. Philadelphia used Nick Gates for 12 snaps during a November game, then had him go all the way in the regular-season finale, when the Eagles sat many of their starters in preparation for the playoffs.
But Sirianni acknowledged that it's not a typical bye week, what with two weeks to prepare for a single opponent, followed by the extensive media engagements in New Orleans, and preparing for a different game schedule with alterations such as the longer halftime break.
