When it rains, it pours. The New Jersey Devils are already dealing with an injury to their No.1 goaltender. Add another injury to the list, as the Devils captain left the third period of New Jersey’s tilt with the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night.

"To me, (Mercer) was outstanding in the third period the other night in Montreal when we asked him to step into that role," head coach Sheldon Keefe said to NJD.TV.
