Tyrese Maxey scored 43 points as the short-handed Philadelphia 76ers used a dominant second quarter to power a 118-104 victory over the visiting Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, extending their winning streak to three games.

The 76ers won’t have an NBA All-Star for the first time in eight seasons. Joel Embiid, Paul George and Tyrese Maxey were not among the players named as Eastern Conference All-Star reserves Thursday on TNT’s NBA Tip-Off show.
