The Los Angeles Lakers have a new star. Dallas Mavericks GM Nico Harrison gift-wrapped Luka Doncic just for them, and he’s now expected to lead the franchise into a new era. That’s why it didn’t take long before the streets showed him some love.

Faces of the Lakers franchise, past and present, were combined in a new mural on Melrose Avenue to "welcome" Doncic to Los Angeles.

Lakers superstar Luka Doncic drew an average of 2.01 million viewers in his highly-anticipated debut against the Jazz. Doncic finished with 14 points, five rebounds, and four assists. The Lakers won 132-113. Then, Doncic tallied 16 points, four rebounds, four assists, one block, and one steal in a 131-119 loss in a rematch to the Jazz.
