According to Gresham Police, the victim was originally taken to the hospital with what was thought to be a non-life-threatening leg injury.

A pedestrian died from his injuries Thursday after being hit by a car in Gresham the day prior, authorities said. Gresham Police originally responded to the 3800 block of Northeast Hogan Road on a report that a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle on Wednesday afternoon.

The crash occurred in the 3800 block of Northeast Hogan Road shortly after noon, according to the Gresham Police Department. Officials said the driver was traveling “at a relatively slow speed” and was cited for careless driving after cooperating with the investigation. Police did not identify the driver.
