A spokesman says President Javier Milei has ordered Argentina’s withdrawal from the World Health Organization due to “profound differences” with the U.N. agency.

Argentina has declared it will withdraw from the World Health Organization, further imperilling an international agency charged with coordinating public health responses. The announcement on Wednesday echoes a similar move last month from the United States.

Argentina will follow the United States by pulling out of the World Health Organization over "deep differences regarding health management" especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
