Monroe Udell, the owner of Jaxson’s Ice Cream Parlor & Restaurant in Dania Beach, died Sunday at 1:30 a.m. at his Hollywood home of cancer, according to Linda Zakheim, his daughter.

Monroe Udell, who founded Jaxson's Ice Cream Parlour in Dania Beach died in his Hollywood home Sunday after a short illness. He was 86.
